Issues with regular expression rejecting string

By : Pranav Midha

I think the issue was by ths following , Your regular expression matches a vowel followed by 2 other characters. [aoueiy] matches a vowel, . matches any characters, and adding {2} after it makes it match two characters. ao only has 1 character after the vowel, so it doesn't match.
The correct regexp is [aoueiy].*[aoueiy]. This matches two vowels with any number of characters (including 0) between them.

I think the issue was by ths following , To include a double quotation mark in a @"" string, you have to double it:
code :
@"(""[^""]*\.csv"")"
"(\"[^\"]*\\.csv\")"

php Regular Expression Issues - Can't remove/strip out and replace a string within a string

To fix the issue you can do I have never worked with regular expressions before and I need them now and I am having some issues getting the expected outcome. , You must use capturing groups (....):
code :
$data = '[x:3xerpz1z]Some Text[/x:3xerpz1z] Some More Text';

$result = preg_replace('~\[x:([^]]+)](.*?)\[/x:\1]~s', '<start>$2</end>', $data);
~ # pattern delimiter: better than / here (no need to escape slashes)
\[x:
([^]]+)   # capture group 1: all that is not a ]
]
(.*?)     # capture group 2: content
\[/x:\1] # \1 is a backreference to the first capturing group
~s # s allows the dot to match newlines

Rejecting specific regular expression patterns

I hope this helps . I'm fairly new to regex and trying to match a string that , Here is the regex you are looking for:
code :
^(?![^/$-]*[/$-]{2})[\w/$-]+(?<![/-])$
String str1 = "Hello/World";
String str2 = "Hello//World";
String ptrn = "^(?![^/$-]*[/$-]{2})[\\w/$-]+(?<![/-])$";
System.out.println(str1.matches(ptrn)); // => true
System.out.println(str2.matches(ptrn)); // => false

How to split string in R with regular expression when parts of the regular expression are to be kept in the subsequent s

hope this fix your issue I have a vector of character strings like this x = c("ABC", "ABC, EF", "ABC, DEF, 2 stems", "DE, other comments, and stuff"). , One option would be str_split
code :
library(stringr)
str_split(x, ", (?=[a-z0-9])", n = 2)
#[[1]]
#[1] "ABC"

#[[2]]
#[1] "ABC, EF"

#[[3]]
#[1] "ABC, DEF" "2 stems"

#[[4]]
#[1] "DE" "other comments, and stuff"
