3 out of 4 conditions in regex java

help you fix your problem I would suggest avoiding a potentially cryptic regular expression for this, and instead to provide something easier to read, understand and maintain (albeit more verbose).
Something like this (depending on what your conditions are, of course). For example, a length test should be mandatory:
code :
public boolean isValid(String password) {
    // password must contain 3 out of 4 of lowercase, uppercase, digits,
    // and others (punctuation, symbols, spaces, etc.).
    if (password == null) {
        return false;
    }

    if (password.length() < 8) {
        return false;
    }

    char[] chars = password.toCharArray();
    int lowers = 0;
    int uppers = 0;
    int digits = 0;
    int others = 0;
    for (Character c : chars) {
        if (Character.isLowerCase(c)) {
            lowers = 1;
        } else if (Character.isUpperCase(c)) {
            uppers = 1;
        } else if (Character.isDigit(c)) {
            digits = 1;
        } else {
            others = 1;
        }
    }
    // at least 3 out of 4 tests must pass:
    return (lowers + uppers + digits + others >= 3);
}

Java regex; conditions on groups

wish help you to fix your issue Why are you using regular expressions to implement the logic of a card game? Seems pretty crazy... nevertheless it can be done!
code :
s.matches("([123456789TJQKA])([dchs])\\1(?!\\2)[dchs]|([123456789TJQKA])\\3")
public class Test
{
    private static void test(String input, boolean expected)
    {
        boolean result = input.matches("([123456789TJQKA])([dchs])\\1(?!\\2)[dchs]|([123456789TJQKA])\\3");
        if (result != expected)
            throw new RuntimeException("Failed!");
    }

    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception
    {
        test("JJ", true);
        test("JsJd", true);
        test("11", true);
        test("2c2h", true);

        test("Js", false);
        test("JsJs", false);
        test("JsJ", false);
        test("JQ", false);
        test("1d1d", false);
        test("J", false);
        test("", false);
        test("3d3d", false);
        test("JsJdJ", false);
        test("JsJdJh", false);
        test("1A", false);
    }
}

regex in java with conditions

I think the issue was by ths following , I have to write Regex in Java according to the following conditions:
code :
Pattern regex = Pattern.compile(
    "^             # Start of string                 \n" +
    "(?!.{65})     # Assert length not 65 or greater \n" +
    "(?:           # Match either                    \n" +
    " 0            #  0                              \n" +
    "|             # or                              \n" +
    " [1-9]\\d*    #  1-n, no leading zeroes         \n" +
    ")             # End of alternation              \n" +
    "(?:           # Match...                        \n" +
    " \\.          #  a dot                          \n" +
    " \\d{2}       #  followed by exactly 2 digits   \n" +
    ")?            # ...optionally                   \n" +
    "$             # End of string",
    Pattern.COMMENTS);

Java regex confused with two conditions

By : namanM

will help you The first if condition should be true if it encounters this kind sequence e.g, 1,2,3...9 except 0 and it only allows 1 digit to pass. The second if is true if it has this sequence 12, 22, 33 .. 99 except for 01,02...09. It only allows two digits to be passed. But for some reason the first condition allows two or more digits and it doesn't go to the next condition. , Your regexes will not do what you need. See the following regexes:
code :
Pattern num1 = Pattern.compile("^[1-9]$");
Pattern num2 = Pattern.compile("^[1-9]\\d$");

How to merge two or more conditions in regex in Android Java?

I hope this helps . I am using an input filter and have used it to match the regex set in the xml. , You may try the below lookahead based regex.
code :
^(?!.*(.)\1)[a-zA-Z]+[a-zA-Z0-9]*(?:-[a-zA-Z0-9]+)*$

wish help you to fix your issue I want to find a string within a string, here's my scenario: , You may use a regex like
code :
(?<=^|\*)ABC(?=$|\*)
(?<![^*])ABC(?![^*])
List<String> strs = Arrays.asList("ABC", "ASD*ABC", "JULY*ABC*RTEW", "ASDABC");
Pattern p = Pattern.compile("(?<=^|\\*)ABC(?=$|\\*)");
for (String str : strs) {
    Matcher m = p.matcher(str);
    System.out.println("\"" + str + "\" => " + m.find());
}
"ABC" => true
"ASD*ABC" => true
"JULY*ABC*RTEW" => true
