Best practice for defining a class that computes attributes in order when initialized

around this issue Here's your class using properties instead (with an added method for returning each property):
code :
Class PropertyComputer:
    def __init__(self, x):
        self._x = x

    @property
    def prop1(self):
        return self._x

    @property
    def prop2(self):
        return self._x * self._x

    @property
    def prop3(self):
        return self.prop1 + self.prop2

    def get_props(self):
        return self.prop1, self.prop2, self.prop3
c = PropertyComputer(x=2)
c.__dict__  # outputs {'_x': 2}
c = PropertyComputer(x=2)
c.prop1  # outputs 2
c._x = 10
c.prop1  # outputs 10

Why does order of defining attributes for a dynamically created checkbox in jquery affect its value?

hope this fix your issue It seems that for whatever reason, IE (IE8 at least) and Opera don't retain the value attribute (though Chrome/Firefox do) through changing the type. Here's a simplified test:
code :
$(document.body).append(
    $("<input />").attr({
        value: 'Test',
        type: 'checkbox'
    })
);
alert($("input").val());
alert(document.body.innerHTML);

Good practice when defining a PHP class

hop of those help? I've seen some PHP class definitions that include lots of methods that seem unrelated (or at best loosely related) to the actual class. For example: , I think your class just needs some specialised cases:
code :
class Dog {
    public $var;

    public function __construct() {}

    public function eat() {
        // Code here is relevant to dog.
    }

    public function sleep() {
        // Code here is relevant to dog.
    }

    public function play() {
        // Code here is relevant to dog.
    }
}

class ExtremelySmartAndWellTrainedDog extends Dog {
    public function pay_milkman() {
        // Code here is relevant to a well-trained dog
    }
}

class SheepDog extends Dog {
    public function go_to_work() {
        // Code here is what sheepdogs do
    }
}

How to display class attributes for a class object initialized in XAML

like below fixes the issue WPF uses the concept of DataTemplates to give you the possibility to decide how data objects should be presented. Therefore you could define a DataTemplate for the class Employee and then use a ContentControl which uses the instance of the Employee class as its Content. The DataTemplate could contain controls to show the values.
code :
<Window.Resources>
    <local:Employee x:Key="emp2" ID="20" Name="Second Employee "></local:Employee>
    <DataTemplate DataType={x:Type local:Employee}">
        <StackPanel>
            <TextBlock Text={Binding ID} />
            <TextBlock Text={Binding Name} />
        </StackPanel>
    </DataTemplate>
</Window.Resources>
<StackPanel>
    <ContentControl Content="{StaticResource emp2}" />
</StackPanel>

C++ : how base class member variables are initialized properly without defining parameterized constructor?

seems to work fine Base{y1+1} is an aggregate initialization. It only works on aggregates. In your second snippet, since Base contains a virtual function, it is no longer an aggregate, and so you can't initialize it like that.

How to pass an instance of a class into attributes within its constructor and have those attributes access initialized a

I wish did fix the issue. You want to pass self (the instance of Foo being initialized) to Bar and Baz, not the class Foo itself.
code :
class Foo(object):
    a=9
    def __init__(self):
        self.bar = Bar(self)
        self.baz = Baz(self)
