Is there a way to make my script a library so I don't have to import from a specific path?

Does that help You can turn your helper_functions into a Python package that you can install with pip install. See the documentation on Packaging Python Projects. It's generally used for distributing Python projects over PyPi for sharing with other developers, but it can also be used for personal or project-specific libraries.
Setup your my_helper_functions to be a Python package:
code :
packaging_tutorial/
  example_pkg/
    __init__.py
  tests/
  setup.py
  LICENSE
  README.md
$ cd my_helper_functions
$ pip install .
from my_helper_functions import my_awesome_util

Restrict import to specific path, without restricting the imported module's path

this will help The standard library's imp module allows you to search a list of paths to find and import a module without altering sys.path. For example:
code :
import imp

search_paths = [path_to_spam]
modfile, modpath, description = imp.find_module('spam', search_paths)
with modfile:
    spam = imp.load_module('spam', modfile, modpath, description)

make gdb load a shared library from a specific path

fixed the issue. Will look into that further The simplest solution is to temporarily restore /opt/mydir/lib/libmylib.so.0 to the copy that was used at crash time (i.e. the one now in /tmp), analyse the core, then restore back the new version.
If you don't want to do that, set solib-search-path and set sysroot are your friends.
code :
(gdb) set sysroot /no/such/file
(gdb) set solib-search-path /tmp:/usr/lib:/lib
(gdb) core /tmp/core

Import a specific Javascript library in to Angular 4 (if library doesn't export a variable)

To fix this issue The library doesn't export anything. It uses IIFE to not pollute global scope with local variables. It's impossible to reach local variables from the outside, this makes Module pattern so effective (and annoying).
The library uses AngularJS angular global and expects that it will exist. This creates a problem, because Angular 4 application should mock angular global in this case. Moreover, the code itself relies on AngularJS-specific units ($sce service).

Hope this helps Yes, there is a way: you can specify full path to the shared library when linking,e.g.:
Let my library is: libtest2.so (it is in /projects/tests/test_so)
