What is the difference between an int and an Integer in Java and C#?

Any of those help In Java, the 'int' type is a primitive , whereas the 'Integer' type is an object.
In C#, the 'int' type is the same as System.Int32 and is a value type (ie more like the java 'int'). An integer (just like any other value types) can be boxed ("wrapped") into an object.

Hibernate: any difference between java.lang.Integer and int?

Hope this helps They only have noticeable difference when handling null value.
It is because int is the primitive data type that cannot assign null to it while java.lang.Integer is the wrapper class of int which can accept null .

What is the difference between Integer and int in Java?

this one helps. int is a primitive type. Variables of type int store the actual binary value for the integer you want to represent. int.parseInt("1") doesn't make sense because int is not a class and therefore doesn't have any methods.
Integer is a class, no different from any other in the Java language. Variables of type Integer store references to Integer objects, just as with any other reference (object) type. Integer.parseInt("1") is a call to the static method parseInt from class Integer (note that this method actually returns an int and not an Integer).

What is difference between int.class and Integer.TYPE in java?

fixed the issue. Will look into that further The .class keyword get the Class object represent both primitive types and class types, while the .TYPE field of the wrapper primitive class allows you to get the Class of the primitive type which that object wraps.

Difference in containsAll behavior for Integer and int arrays (Java)

wish helps you In the second case, each list consists of a single element. The two elements are both int[] arrays. The list containing the larger array does not contain the member of the list containing the smaller array.
The Arrays.asList() method accepts a variable argument list of arguments of type T, and returns a List. With an array of Integers, T can be Integer, and the return type List. But with a primitive array, T cannot be an int, because there cannot be a List.

Java - Integer[] and int[] memory difference

it helps some times In addition to storing the length of the array, an array of ints needs space for N 4-byte elements, while an array of Integers needs space for N references, whose size is platform-dependent; commonly, that would be 4 bytes on 32-bit platforms or 8 bytes on 64-bit platforms.
As far as int[] goes, there is no additional memory required to store data. Integer[], on the other hand, needs objects of type Integer, which could be all distinct or shared (e.g. through interning of small numbers implemented by the Java platform itself). Therefore, Integer[] requires up to N additional objects, each one containing a 4-byte int.
