Hope this helps Assume you have a reStructuredText document and want to export it in two formats using Sphinx 2.x: HTML and PDF. , This is a little clunky, but it works for me:
code :
.. role:: latex(raw)
   :format: latex

.. role:: html(raw)
   :format: html

.. |foo| replace:: :latex:`LaTeX text`:html:`HTML text`
.. |bar| replace:: :latex:`other latex text`:html:`other html text`

fixed the issue. Will look into that further to bmu I found the problem, indeed I had to add it to the conf.py.
Now the next question: "why is this not in the installation/usage documentation of this extension?" It's not mentioned in http://packages.python.org/sphinxcontrib-programoutput/ which is the first link I get when googling for this extension.

Can I insert a directive inside another directive - reStructuredText/Sphinx

With these it helps There are two errors in your image directive. First, you need an additional colon (:) following .. image. Second, you do not need the quotation marks (') around the image file path. Provided there's a valid facebook reference elsewhere in the document, the following code works for me:
code :
.. admonition:: John

   Social Network
     .. image:: /path/to/facebook.png
        :target: `facebook`_

I hope this helps . Not really without modifing the sphinx source.
Although there is Compression support in the Mysql Protocol http://dev.mysql.com/doc/internals/en/compression.html but I don't know if sphinx/sphinxql supports it.

wish help you to fix your issue Okay, I figured out more and have a working workaround. (I'm still not sure how I'm supposed to handle this.)
Looks like my HTML code is reading directly from a few cascading stylesheets stored along with the output in a directory called _static. There's classic.css, which inherits from basic.css.
code :
html_context = {
    'css_files': [

I wish this help you Use the .. only:: directive instead. While it is normally used with flags (or tags as sphinx puts it), the output format is made available as a tag as well:
