   mkdir -p {"$base","$base/$sub"}

   mv "$f" "$base/"

Read all xlsx-Files in a folder and save the files in different DataFrames

To fix the issue you can do I'm assuming you have the save data frame bit already and you just want to do the variable name part.
A couple of ways you can work with this:
code :
import pandas as pd
import os

path = os.getcwd()
files = os.listdir(path)

files_xls = [f for f in files if f[-4:] == 'xlsx']

for index. filename in enumerate(files_xls):
    exec(f"df{index}" = pd.read_excel({filename}, sheet_name=None)" )

will help you You're on the right track here. But you need to use map_dfr instead of plain-vanilla map. map_dfr outputs a data frame (or actually tibble) for each iteration, and combines them via bind_rows.
This should work:
code :
file.list <- list.files(pattern='*.xlsx')
alldata <- file.list %>%
