In Vue.js app a lot of errors in the PhpStorm IDE

it fixes the issue You have the right option selected; the error comes from JSHint linter that doesn't support ES6 syntax by default. You have to tell JSHint that your are using ES2015 syntax. This can be done by adding /*jshint esversion: 6 */ comment to your file (http://jshint.com/docs/options/#esversion), or by specifying
code :
{
  "esversion": 6
}

PHPStorm - show all errors on inspection

it should still fix some issue Editor not doing proper code highlighting or not working inspections can be caused by the corrupted caches.
The solution is to do File | Invalidate Caches and restart the IDE.

PHPStorm and WordPress project errors

like below fixes the issue You need to reference WordPress code in some way. Few possible approaches:
Add as External Library -- perfect for referencing only: Settings | PHP | Include paths Add as part of the project itself (careful, as in this case WP code will be used during Search/Refactor/etc operations) -- Settings | Directories | Add Content Root Symbolic link somewhere in the project (but #2 is still better for your case)

With these it helps ES6 modules are still unsupported, vote for the issue on JetBrains bug tracker.

PHPUnit + PHPStorm: Different errors for run/debug

hop of those help? I do not believe you have followed the tutorials on PHPUnit correctly. The setUp() function is run before each test, as each test is run in isolation. Therefore, you need to write your tests for that.
code :
class XYZTest extends PHPUnit_Framework_TestCase {
    protected $xml; // Internal Object for testing

    // Assume you have autoloader configured in bootstrap. If not, Require your class to test
    //require_once('YourXMLClass.php');
    public function setUp()
    {
        $this->xml = new YourXMLClass(); // Create the XML object so it exists for testing.
    }

    public function testXMLIsEmpty()
    {
        $this->assertNull($this->xml->subject);
    }

    public function testXMLSubjectSet()
    {
        $this->xml->SetSubject('Basic Text to be returned as XML subject field');
        $this->assertEquals('<subject>Basic Text to be returned as XML subject field</subject>', $this->xml->subject);
    }
}
public function SetSubject($SubjectText)
{
    $this->subject = '<subject>' . $SubjectText . '</subject>';
}
