Java Timer.Schedule (infiniti loop) stop running

Java Timer.Schedule (infiniti loop) stop running

hope this fix your issue So you want code to run for x minutes, correct?
If so, convert the time you want the code to run for into milliseconds like this : 1 minute = 60000 ms. There is a method called System.currentTimeMillis(), this will return a value of miliseconds from the EPOCH date (Jan 1, 1970).
code :
int msTime = 60000; //1 Minute = 60000 MS
int doUntil = ms + System.currentTimeMillis(); //1 minute
while(System.currentTimeMillis() != doUntil)
{
   //Code here
   System.out.println(¨Hello World¨); //This will print Ḧello World for 60000ms

}

This might help you I have this for loop: , Try this:
code :
int i=0;
int total_time=250*left_num*right_num;
private CountDownTimer counter = new CountDownTimer(total_time, 250) {

        public void onTick(long millisUntilFinished) {
            int u=i%left_num+1,v=i/left_num+1;
            int resourceId = this.getResources().getIdentifier("c"+u+"_r"+v, "id", this.getPackageName());
            ImageButton imageButton = (ImageButton) findViewById(resourceId);
            imageButton.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.white_circle);
            i++;
        }

        public void onFinish() {

        }
    };

will be helpful for those in need The private code is within a Jbutton that starts a timer upon mouse click. The if-statement near the bottom will not stop the timer, when the elapsed time is equal to the original time, but does not. How do I fix this? Additionally, when I repress the button, the timer accelerates at an increased rate. , You can adapt your custom TimerTask:
code :
TimerTask task = new TimerTask() {
    public void run() {
        elapsedTime++;//amount of time passed
        timeLeft.setText("" + (time - elapsedTime));

        if (time - elapsedTime == 0) {
            cancel();
            score1 = 0;//resets score
            question.setText("GAME OVER");
        }
    }
};

I wish did fix the issue. await Task.Delay(1000, App.tokenSource1.Token);
throws System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCanceledException when canceled.
code :
{
   App.Timer1Running = true;
   …
   try
   {
      await Task.Delay(1000, App.tokenSource1.Token);
   }
   catch(TaskCanceledException ex){}
   App.TimerSeconds--;
   App.Timer1Running = false;
}

hop of those help? I aggree with dgebert because the default ConcurrencyManagement is container-managed and default lock is write unless you have a cluster. in cluster every node has own singletone and lock managment. if you dont config a centeral database for timer service, all nodes will be executed and raises concurrent issues in the underly data structure.
