hope this fix your issue I have a table that has columns that I want to insert into another table with certain conditions. The closest I could get was using this post. , I think this is what you want:
code :
select id, branch, account, total, change,
       (case when cnt > 50 then avg_account end) as avg_account,
       (case when cnt > 50 then avg_change end) as avg_change
into Table2
from Table1;

like below fixes the issue Values inserted from table B should be from one field in table B if another field in table B matches my defined value. , You want a join, such as:
code :
INSERT INTO tablec (first, second, third, fourth, fifth, eighth, ninth)
    SELECT a.first, a.second, a.third, a.fourth, b.eighth, b.ninth
    FROM tablea a CROSS JOIN
         tableb b
    WHERE b.eighth = $new;

I think the issue was by ths following , Try a CROSS JOIN and a SELECT ... INTO:
This join relates every-with-every row. The result will be filled into a new table on the fly:
code :
SELECT Nrs.Nr
      ,Nms.Name
INTO dbo.TheNewTable
FROM dbo.NumberTable AS Nrs
CROSS JOIN dbo.NameTable AS Nms;
SELECT * FROM dbo.TheNewTable;

Any of those help You would want to fully parameterize you query and select from you environment table for you Id value.
code :
INSERT INTO mLine(Network, type, incrementRelease, environment, serviceManagerType, serviceManagerSubType, description, manufacturer, vendor)
SELECT @Network, @type, @incrementRelease, E.ID, @serviceManagerType, @serviceManagerSubType, @description, @manufacturer, @vendor
FROM dbo.environment E
WHERE E.Name = @environment;

will help you Literally the first time I have posted, so please excuse me if I have done it incorrectly. , To insert into a table from a select result try this way:
code :
DECLARE @json nvarchar(max)

SET @json = N'{
  "response": [
    {
      "application": {
        "info": {
          "dat_id": "010.2018.00036494.001",
          "development_type": "Residential - Single new dwelling",
          "application_type": "DA",
          "last_modified_date": "2018-12-03T11:35:24+11:00",
          "description": "Residence, Garage & Colorbond Shed, Demolition of Existing Residence & Tree Removal",
          "authority": {
            "ref": "http://gemini:82/ApplicationTracker/atdis/1.0",
            "name": "AlburyCity"
          },
          "lodgement_date": "2018-10-26T00:00:00+11:00",
                  )
[…..]

select * into results_from_query from OPENJSON(@json,'$.response')
with
(
[dat_id] varchar(200) '$.application.info.dat_id',
[development_type] varchar(200) '$.application.info.development_type',
[last_modified_date] varchar(200) '$.application.info.last_modified_date',
[description] varchar(300) '$.application.info.description',
[ref] varchar(200) '$.application.info.authority.ref',
[name] varchar(200) '$.application.info.authority.name'
)
