wish of those help you can't add floats and strings in python. usage is a float. "%" is a string.
you should do something like:
code :
str(usage) + '%'

I wish did fix the issue. I'm trying to loop and create a new data frame based on another data frame I have. Suppose I have a dataframe like this
code :
round(   (demo.ix[i,j],4) / round(demo.totals[i],4)   )
round(demo.ix[i,j],4) / round(demo.totals[i],4)

This might help you I think you have misunderstood the use of the b prefix, look at this part of your code:
code :
re_duration = re.compile("Duration: (.*?)\.")
duration = b're_duration.search(output[1]).groups()[0]'
>>> import re
>>> instr = 'Duration: 00:05:24.13,'
>>> re_duration = re.compile("Duration: (.*?)\.")
>>> duration = b're_duration.search(instr).groups()[0]'
>>> duration
duration = re_duration.search(instr).groups()[0]
>>> import re, functools
>>> instr = 'Duration: 00:05:24.13,'
>>> re_duration = re.compile("Duration: (.*?)\.")
>>> duration = re_duration.search(instr).groups()[0]
>>> seconds = float(functools.reduce(lambda x,y:x*60+y,map(int,duration.split(":"))))
>>> seconds

seems to work fine I wrote a simple program which approximates the evaluation of a definite integral using numerical integration. However, I am stumped when it comes to why I am getting the error in the title. Keep in mind that I haven't touched python in one and a half years so it might be something incredibly obvious that I'm missing, however I'd still be grateful if you could help me :) Here is the code: , When trying to raise to a power use the operand use ** and not ^.
code :
Python 3: unsupported operand type(s) for -: 'str' and 'float'

Hope that helps EDIT: as pointed below, your code is also correct
plt.bar expects the first argument to be the x-coordinates of your bars, not labels. You can put the labels by doing:
code :
plt.bar([1,2,3], values, tick_label=names)
