wish of those help Supposed to be, I have start and end time. , Just have this one condition as well:
code :
  if(end < start)
    end = end.add(1, 'd');
var startTime = '12:30 PM';
var endTime = '03:00 AM';

var startTime2 = '12:30 PM';
var endTime2 = '05:00 PM';

console.log(intervals(startTime, endTime)); // this is not working
console.log(intervals(startTime2, endTime2));    // this is working

function intervals(start, end) {
  var start = moment(start, 'hh:mm a').add(3, 'h');
  var end = moment(end, 'hh:mm a').subtract(1, 'h');
  if(end < start)
    end = end.add(1, 'd');
  var result = [];
  var current = moment(start);
  while (current <= end) {
    result.push(current.format('hh:mm a'));
    current.add(5, 'minutes');
  }
  return result;
}

wish of those help I am making an android app that shows the Calendar day view, it looks like a list with colored blocks floating on top of it which represent event start time and end time. , Try out this code:
code :
/** Checks whether two intervals overlap. */
boolean overlap(long startTime1, long endTime1, long startTime2, long endTime2) {
    if (endTime1 < startTime2 || startTime1 > endTime2) {
        return false;
    return true;
}

should help you out It is difficult to understand what the question is, but if the problem is that you want to find if any rows from schedule overlaps with the times in the timeslot table, changing
code :
ON a.starttime >= timeslots.starttimeb
AND a.endtime <= timeslots.endtimeb
ON a.starttime < timeslots.endtimeb
AND a.endtime > timeslot.starttimeb

I wish did fix the issue. PostgreSQL has a feature designed for exactly this - exclusion constraints.
See CREATE TABLE ... EXCLUDE ....
code :
create table exclude(code text, startw integer, endw integer);

insert into exclude(code, startw, endw) values
('T1', 201401, 201404),
('T2', 201405, 201408),
('T3', 201409, 201416);
alter table exclude
  add constraint no_overlapping_timestamps
  EXCLUDE USING gist( tstzrange(startw, endw) WITH && );
alter table exclude
  add constraint no_overlapping_timestamps
  EXCLUDE USING gist( tstzrange(to_date(startw, 'YYYYWW'), to_date(endw, 'YYYYWW')) WITH && );

I hope this helps you . I have data on employee punch-ins and punch-outs. I'm trying to write a SQL query that returns average start time and stop time. , This query prints avg. check in time for Employee A(employee_id = 1).
code :
SELECT SEC_TO_TIME(AVG(TIME_TO_SEC(`start_time`)))
    FROM `table` WHERE `date` BETWEEN 'dateRange1' AND 'dateRange2' AND
    `table`.employee_id =1  AND `start_time` <> '00:00:00'

like below fixes the issue I'm setting up a timetable project for school management. I wanted to get the start time and end time of the day by a school admin for which I'm using a modal dialog. The above image holds only static period times for 9 different periods with equal interval of time. The above is the modal which i'm using to get the desired times for each factors in the timetable period duration. , Use below given code to divide given time range in 9 equal parts:
code :
    let arr = [];
    let dt1 = new Date().setHours(9, 45, 0); // this would be given by user as input
    let dt2 = new Date().setHours(16, 30, 0);// this would be given by user as input
    const interval = (dt2-dt1)/9;
    for (let i=0; i<9; i++) {
        const period = {
            start: new Date(dt1+(i*interval)),
            end: new Date(dt1+((i+1)*interval))
        }
        arr.push(period);
     }
arr.forEach((slot, index) => {
    // index 0 will be first slot and last index will be last one
    console.log(`Slot start: ${slot.start}`);
    console.log(`Slot end: ${slot.end}`);
})
