Does that help I am a new learner and need some help. I have two models (which I generated through scaffold). Category and Product. , You need to have the base resource name as a key in your JSON:
code :
{"category": {

    "name":"Mens Clothing",
    "products_attributes": [
        {

            "name":"Denim jeans",
            "Description": "test test test", # <== Added a comma here
            "prize":1000,
            "user_id":1,
        }
    ]
}}

around this issue What I want is to have a Profile where I can create contents, each content could have many videos, many images and so on. That's why I'm thinking about videos and images as different tables. But I'd like to know if a video belongs to a specific profile or content without writing complicated queries. , There is a conflict of "truthness" between your
code :
class Profile < ApplicationRecord
  has_many :contents
  has_many :videos, through: :contents
end

class Content < ApplicationRecord
  belongs_to :profile
  has_many :videos
end

class Video < ApplicationRecord
  belongs_to :content
end
create_table :contents do |t|
  t.string :name
  t.text :description
  t.references :profile, foreign_key: true
end

create_table :profiles do |t|
  t.integer :profile_type
  t.references :user, foreign_key: true
end

create_table :videos do |t|
  t.string :name
  t.string :file
  t.string :link
  t.references :content, foreign_key: true
end

this will help All right. Since you're using postgres 9.1 like I am, I'll take a shot at this. Tackling the first problem first (scope to filter by location of last status):
This solution takes advantage of PostGres's support for analytic functions, as described here: http://explainextended.com/2009/11/26/postgresql-selecting-records-holding-group-wise-maximum/
