Hope this helps What you're trying to do is a remote hook:
update is the one you need. You just have to write a script that's running your test against the repository (or the diff) and return a non-zero code if something sounds wrong for you.
Why the push method doesn't work in this case : [].push

Method one:
Case-by-case Coffee-script push method

To fix the issue you can do When I push the index of itemList in list 'a'. , Some guesses:
Git Pre-push hooks not aborting push in case of more than one checks

will be helpful for those in need This is really a question about writing scripts.
In sh/bash scripts, a series of commands just runs the series of commands:
code :
cmd1
cmd2
cmd3
exit 0
set -e
cmd1
cmd2
cmd3
cmd1; cmd1_status=$?
cmd2; cmd2_status=$?
cmd3; cmd3_status=$?
test $cmd1_status != 0 && exit $cmd1_status
test $cmd2_status != 0 && exit $cmd2_status
exit $cmd3_status
