fixed the issue. Will look into that further I have a number of functions that need to get called from various imported files. , Try this:
code :
def lookup(path):
    obj = globals()
    for element in path.split('.'):
        try:
            obj = obj[element]
        except KeyError:
            obj = getattr(obj, element)
    return obj

this will help The parentheses are almost certainly not part of the attribute name. Get rid of them when calling getattr(). Then you need to call the method:
code :
attr_name = pattr[letter]
if not attr_name.endswith("()"):
  print getattr(p, attr_name)
else:
  print getattr(p, attr_name[:-2])()

wish helps you Rather than create separate, numbered attributes, use a list or dictionary. In this case, a list will do just fine:
code :
self.bits = [QtGui.QLineEdit(self) for _ in range(3)]
setattr(self, 'Bit{}'.format(loopCount), QtGui.QLineEdit(self))
Use getattr() without return , following error: getattr(): attribute name must be string

will be helpful for those in need You set next = room() in the while loop which sets next to None after the first iteration, you need to return self.play if you want to go to the method from al.
I imagine you also want to call death and cccl:
