wish of those help You are running stale bytecode, restart Python.
Python compiles source code to bytecode, and interprets the latter. This means the interpreter doesn't work with the source code once compiled.

I wish did fix the issue. You are trying to run a Python 2 codebase with Python 3. xrange() was renamed to range() in Python 3.
Run the game with Python 2 instead. Don't try to port it unless you know what you are doing, most likely there will be more problems beyond xrange() vs. range().
code :
    # Python 2
except NameError:
    # Python 3, xrange is now named range
    xrange = range

# Python 2 code that uses xrange(...) unchanged, and any
# range(...) replaced with list(range(...))
    # Python 2 forward compatibility
    range = xrange
except NameError:

# Python 2 code transformed from range(...) -> list(range(...)) and
# xrange(...) -> range(...).
Despite setting xRange, data is plotted in the wrong place

this one helps. For this application, the barOffset should be zero (0). The offset is used to displace the bars from the location given by the datasource. The most common use is to separate the bars at the same location when plotting multiple bar plots on the same graph that might have overlapping bars at common locations.

I wish this helpful for you You can use Python's timeit library to time things like this. You don't say what kind of list you have, so I am assuming a simple list of strings. First I create a list 100 items long and then time both:
code :
my_list = ["hello"] * 100

def v1():
    for x in my_list[::-1]:

def v2():
    for x in reversed(my_list):

print timeit.timeit(v1)
print timeit.timeit(v2)

I think the issue was by ths following , xrange() was removed from python3 and was replaced by range(). Use range() instead (it works exactly the same as xrange()).
However, if you need to use the range() function in python2 (which you don't in this case), use xrange() as range() returns a list instead of a generator (as @xdurch0 says in the comments).

Hope this helps I try to execute following code but can't with mistake: name 'xrange' is not defined , You're probably using Python3, where xrange has become range.
