will help you The problem is with the name. In 6.2+ it introduced various enhancements to the binding syntax to allow for expressions. In this case, the '-' character is being interpreted as a minus. Try using an underscore, or just camel casing for the name.

around this issue You are using a signed integer value which is in 2's complement.
Your result is correct: 11010101 is in fact -43:

I wish this helpful for you You are mixing up your variables. The variable walk is an ActionListener. You cannot treat it as a boolean (testing its truth value with if, assigning true or false) or as a Thread (calling start()). It's hard to know for sure what you're trying to accomplish, but I think what you want is:
code :
private void walkjButtonActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
        running = true;
        timer = new Timer(40, walk);
        running = false;

this one helps. The code doesn't print anything because the negation of 21 is a negative number.
code :
21 = 0000000...010101
void convertbinary(int n)
    while (n != 0)

To fix the issue you can do That's not how the expression is processed.
In Java, all expressions are evaluated from left to right. Operator precedence only comes into play when considering the evaluation of the arguments of &&.
