I think the issue was by ths following , Effects of memory management aside (which are explained in other answers), CPU doesn't need to continuously check if the current stream of instructions are modified and the intermediate results in the pipeline should be thrown away and new code needs to be read. In the case of jit compilation, this scenario may occur often depending on the design of the compiler, depth of CPU pipeline, size of code cache on CPU and number of other CPUs which may modify that code. It isn't normally allowed to occur in well designed modern systems where code is generated to a writeable page and marked as executable and readonly afterwards. This is not unique to jit of course. It can happen in all kinds of self modifying code.

hope this fix your issue If I decide to use Rationals in Ruby for a console application, but don't want them displayed as a fraction, is there an idiomatic way to specify they should be displayed in decimal notation? , You can use %g in the sprintf to get the 'right' precision:
code :
puts "%g" % Rational(1,2)
#=> 0.5

it should still fix some issue If you wanted to round an unsigned rational value to the nearest integer you'd add 0.5 and then only display the integer part.
For 1 digit after the decimal point you'd add 0.05.

it helps some times The difference is that browsers don't load all resources at the same time. Most browsers only have 2-4 concurrent requests open, so if you have 5 JS files, the browser will request the first four and then wait until one of them completes before requesting the 5th. Some older browsers only request one JavaScript file at a time, and wait until it's fully parsed before fetching the next.
Often the network time is the worst part of the user experience (especially in some parts of the world or on some devices), so having a bundle where only one request is made instead of 5 means your app will feel more responsive.

should help you out The answer is not -2: the answer is 2i. Whoops, math fail. In any case, parts of the rest are still relevant in some fashion. See Mat's comment and Sawa's answer.
This doesn't explain why there isn't just a pretty 2i (or (0+2i)) in the output, I suspect it is just due to internal rounding errors (it doesn't try to replace matlab). See Sawa's answer for how to "understand" the result of the complex number returned.
