I hope this helps . split the text with point, remove the index 0 then put the rest in to div again. Example:
code :
var elem=document.getElementsByTagName("div")[0];
var text=elem.textContent.split('.');

delete text[0];

    var selectedText = selection.extractContents();
    var span = document.createElement("span");
    span.style.backgroundColor = "yellow";

trying to parse text and html from email over IMAP using MAIL::IMAPClient but text is hidden in parts and multi-parts

seems to work fine I tried using a couple of prebuilt modules but they had too many dependencies and was hard to work with. This solution adds no dependencies beyond the original. I also had issues with the dependencies for libMagic, see above, and I did not want anyone who uses my program to have to deal with that issue either.
You have to call decode twice once for the main parent, and again for each child. Since this $imap->get_bodystructure($msg); contains all the information you need why add dependencies where none are needed. It took many many hours to figure out how to decode it manually, but it was worth it.
code :
 use Mail::IMAPClient;
 use MIME::Base64;
 use MIME::Parser;

sub decode  {
($process, $imap) =@_;
if ($process->bodytype eq "TEXT") {
   print "\n Text SubType:".$process->bodysubtype;
   if ($process->bodyenc eq "base64") {
        return decode_base64($imap->bodypart_string($msg,$process->id));
   elsif (index(" -7bit- -8bit- -quoted-printable- ",lc($process->bodyenc)) !=-1  ) {
        return $imap->bodypart_string($msg,$process->id);
print "\n==========Insert new decoder here============";
print "\n".$imap->bodypart_string($msg,$process->id);
print "\n=================================================";

return "";

#insert your login code with credentials here

$imap->select( $sfolder )
or die "Select '$Opt{sfolder}' error: ", $imap->LastError, "\n";

my @msgs = $imap->messages or die "Could not messages: $@\n";

foreach $msg (@msgs) {

my $raw = $imap->message_string($msg)
    or die $imap->LastError;

$struct = $imap->get_bodystructure($msg);

#MULTIPART is a container designation and does not contain anything useful by itself.
#However it will still process all of the children that have content
if ($struct->bodytype ne "MULTIPART") { print "\n BodyEnc:".$struct->bodyenc();}

#do not insert blanks.
if ($rDecode ne "" && (length($rDecode)>2)) {push(@mail,$rDecode); }

foreach $dumpme ($struct->bodystructure()) {
if ($dumpme->bodytype() eq "MULTIPART") {next;}

#do not insert blanks.
if (($rDecode ne "") && (length($rDecode)>2) ) {
push(@mail,$rDecode); }

it helps some times Assuming that the order of the lines is always the same and that each TextBox belongs to a line:
code :
IEnumerable<String> lines = File.ReadLines(path);
textBoxAmount.Text = lines.ElementAtOrDefault(0);
textBoxCategories.Text = lines.ElementAtOrDefault(1);
textBoxValue.Text = lines.ElementAtOrDefault(2);

I hope this helps . For that specific string you can split by the '/' character and concatenate the pieces you want. Except you want to keep the last slash between DOS and 5Y. I'm not sure if this will be that helpful because it's not a generic solution, but this works for that string, and could work with similar patterns.
code :
$str = "PC i5-4570/4GB/500/DVD+/-RW Drive/-RW/FREE DOS/5Y Warranty";
@splitStr = split('/',$str);
print $splitStr[0] . " " . $splitStr[6] . "/" . $splitStr[7];

fixed the issue. Will look into that further please help to resolve my question.
code :
const regex = /(\d+(\.\d{1,2})? \w{1,5})/gm;
const str = `I have 1000.00 USD montly to extract from 10000.00 USD. My account have 9000.00 USD.`;
const subst = `<mark>$1</mark>`;

// The substituted value will be contained in the result variable
const result = str.replace(regex, subst);

console.log('Result: ', result);
