How to merge two line in a file into one by specified condition in linux?

wish helps you I have a file which is exported from mysql using command select into outfile escaped by "\"... However, there are newlines in some fields which result in broken lines, namely a record in mysql is split into two lines in exported file. After careful analysis, I find the line which is broken ends with "\". So I want to merge lines like this into its next line. How can I do this? , With sed:
code :
sed 'N;s/\\\n//;P;D;' file

will be helpful for those in need It looks as if you were on the right track. You just need to add the else statement after the ";" following the "then" statement. Also I would split the first line from the second line with a semicolon instead of joining it with "&&".
code :
maxline='cat journald.conf | grep "#SystemMaxUse="'; if [ $maxline == "#SystemMaxUse=" ]; then sed 's/\#SystemMaxUse=/SystemMaxUse=50M/g' journald.conf > journald.conf2 && mv journald.conf2 journald.conf; else echo "This file has been edited. You'll need to do it manually."; fi

To fix this issue Use php string explode function to split a string into array, and use strlen to get length of a string.
code :
$file = fopen("readfrom.txt", "r");
$handle = fopen("writeto.txt", 'a');
while(!feof($file)) {
  $line     = fgets($file);
  $lineAry = explode("=", $line);
  if(strlen($lineAry[0])>=3)
    fwrite($handle, $line);
}

Does that help I'm trying to create a thread for every line in a file and pass to a thread function this line from a file as an argument in c programming in Linux. , I've noticed two problems:
code :
printf("\nthread processing done, arg_1 = %d\n", *actual_args->arg_1);
printf("\nthread processing done, arg_1 = %s\n", actual_args->arg_1);
for (index = 0; index < i; ++index) {
    arg_struct *args = malloc(sizeof *args);
    strcpy(args->arg_1, words[index]);

    result_code = pthread_create(&threads[index], NULL, perform_work, args);
    assert(0 == result_code);
}
arg_struct *args = malloc(sizeof(arg_struct)*i);
for (index = 0; index < i; ++index) {
    strcpy(args[index].arg_1, words[index]);
    result_code = pthread_create(&threads[index], NULL, perform_work, &args[index]);
    assert(0 == result_code);
}

may help you . Just pipe the result from the Get-ChildItem cmdlet to the Where-Object cmdlet and filter them:
code :
Get-ChildItem  $yourdir -File -Filter *.txt  |
    Where-Object { $_.CreationTime.Date -eq ((get-date).Date) } |
    Get-Content |
    Out-File -FilePath "C:\Temp\old\totalresult.txt"

it fixes the issue If you want to show some specific columns from a table, you need to separate them by a comma. Eg (using aliases): SELECT COLUMN_1_NAME as ALIAS_COLUMN_1, COLUMN_2_NAME as ALIAS_COLUMN_2 FROM TABLE_NAME;
So in your case it should be something like:
code :
SELECT DATETIME(created, '+8 hours') as add8hours, feed FROM feed WHERE (user_id_fk) = (?) ORDER BY feed_id DESC LIMIT ?, 5
