Strange behaviour involving Closure commands and "text-align:justify"

wish help you to fix your issue Discoveries:
text-align:justify is whitespace-senstive Soy templates don't necessarily care about whitespace when they compile
code :
<div>
  {if true}
    <div>a</div>
    <div>b</div>
    <div>c</div>
  {/if}
</div>
<div>
  {if true}
    <div>a</div>{sp}
    <div>b</div>{sp}
    <div>c</div>{sp}
  {/if}
</div>

With these it helps Updated the "Future" solution info below; still not yet fully supported.
Present Workaround (IE8+, FF, Chrome Tested)
code :
.prevNext {
    text-align: justify;
}

.prevNext a {
    display: inline-block;
    position: relative;
    top: 1.2em; /* your line-height */
}

.prevNext:before{
    content: '';
    display: block;
    width: 100%;
    margin-bottom: -1.2em; /* your line-height */
}

.prevNext:after {
    content: '';
    display: inline-block;
    width: 100%;
}
.prevNext {
    text-align: justify;
    -moz-text-align-last: justify;
    -webkit-text-align-last: justify; /* not implemented yet, and will not be */
    text-align-last: justify; /* IE */
}

code :
text-justify: distribute;

I hope this helps you . The elements in the markup must have whitespace (spaces or newlines) between them.
code :
<ul id="Grid">
    <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li></li> <li class="break"></li>
</ul>
Atom not recognising CSS grid commands "justify-items" and "justify-self". Why?

like below fixes the issue The code you've posted in the question doesn't look right.
justify-items applies to the grid container. It aligns the child elements of the container. Essentially, it establishes the default justify-self value for all items.
What do "flex" and "justify-content" achieve that "text-align" doesn't?

hope this fix your issue Yes there is a big difference. Flexbox is about boxes and block level element whearas text-align is about text and inline level element.
When having one element we won't notice the difference but when it comes to multiple element we can see a clear difference.
code :
.parent-flex {
  display: flex;
  justify-content: flex-end;
  margin-bottom:10px;
}
.parent-normal {
  text-align:right;
}
<div class="parent-flex">some text here  <button>Awesome button!</button></div>

<div class="parent-normal">some text here  <button>Awesome button!</button></div>
.parent-flex {
  display: flex;
  justify-content: flex-end;
  margin-bottom:10px;
}
.parent-normal {
  text-align:right;
}
<div class="parent-flex">some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here<button>Awesome button!</button></div>

<div class="parent-normal">some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here<button>Awesome button!</button></div>
.parent-flex {
  display: flex;
  justify-content: flex-end;
  margin-bottom:10px;
}
.parent-normal {
  text-align:right;
}
<div class="parent-flex">some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text <a href="">link</a> here some text here some text here some text here<button>Awesome button!</button></div>

<div class="parent-normal">some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text here some text <a href="">link</a> here some text here some text here some text here<button>Awesome button!</button></div>
