may help you . So I have a dictionary with a bunch of names that I use to call functions. It works fine, but I prefer to put it in my settings file. If I do so, though, I will get errors from the settings file saying that there are no functions by that name(even though I'm not calling them at the time). Any workarounds? , If you try
code :
def f_one(id, time):
    pass

def f_two(id, time):
    pass

d = {"blah blah":"f_one", "blah blah blah":"f_one", "otherblah","f_two"
locals()[d[str(nameid)]](id, time)

        dt = dateutil.parser.parse(row[0])
        if not data_dict.get(dt.hour,''):
            data_dict[dt.hour] = {}
        if not data_dict[dt.hour].get(dt.minute,''):
            data_dict[dt.hour][dt.minute]=[]

will help you I'd recommend putting all your individual data items in a list, and saving that as a JSON file.
code :
data = [x for x in json_seq(url_seq(limit=100))]
with open('data.json', 'w') as f:
    json.dump(data, f)
df = pd.read_json('data.json')
with open('data.json', 'w') as f:
    f.write('[')
    for item in json_seq(url_seq(limit=100)):
        f.write(json.dumps(item) + ',')
    f.write(']')

wish helps you Your file isn't exactly a valid JSON because of this.
You need to wrap it with [ and ] to make it one big list, and add commas after each document (to separate them).
code :
import json

def parse_data(filename):
    for l in open(filename, 'r'):
        yield json.loads(l)

data = list(parse_data(filename))
