Is synchronous XMLHttpRequest supported in Internet Explorer 10 and 11?

Is synchronous XMLHttpRequest supported in Internet Explorer 10 and 11?

like below fixes the issue By a happy coincidence I found a link on the jQuery Browser Support page to Virtual Machines offered by Microsoft for testing of IE 10 and 11. I downloaded the IE11/Win7 file, and used it to confirm that synchronous XMLHttpRequest works just fine in this browser. I'll notify caniuse.com, so they can correct their mistake. I will invite them to comment here as to how that mistake could happen - it undermines trust in their platform.

wish of those help Just an idea, you could try adding a Connection: close header in all server responses to make sure the browser is starting a new tcp connection for every request.

it helps some times I did not find a real solution to my question, but a sort of workaround for what I ultimately want to do is to use jQuery 1.x instead, which is able to (and does, for IE6-8) work with the old MSXML.XMLHTTPRequest.
I am posting this for anyone would like to run cross-domain Ajax requests in scripts they inject via a BHO.
code :
[ComVisible(true)]
[Guid("XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX")]
[InterfaceType(ComInterfaceType.InterfaceIsDual)]
public interface IExtension
{
    [DispId(1)]
    object Xhr();

    [DispId(2)]
    string OptionalFooBar();
}
    //Exposed to JS
    public object Xhr()
    {
        return new MSXML2.XMLHTTP();
    }
    void OnDocumentComplete(object pDisp, ref object URL)
    {
        dynamic window = null;
        IExpando windowEx = null;
        try
        {
            if (pDisp != this.site)
                return;

            var document2 = browser.Document as IHTMLDocument2;
            var document3 = browser.Document as IHTMLDocument3;

            window = document2.parentWindow;
            windowEx = window as IExpando;
            windowEx.AddProperty("myExtension")
            window.myExtension = this;
      }
jQuery.ajaxSettings.xhr = function () { return window.myExtension.Xhr(); }

I hope this helps . The problem seems to be that IE 8 recognizes XMLHttpRequest, but not as a function. Active X objects still seem to work. Instead of testing for the existance of window.XMLHtppRequest, I test for the typeof window.XMLHtppRequest. seems to work OK.
I recoded my get request as follows:

this one helps. Make sure Registry value TabProcGrowth is not = 0. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\TabProcGrowth=1
