fixed the issue. Will look into that further I have posted two posts to my blog in the past two days. As you can see, both are dated Nov 1, 2017. I correctly named the files with their respective dates as you can see in the github repofor this blog. What is going on here? Why do the posts show the wrong date? , You have in the YML the following date:

I wish this helpful for you I set up a jekyll blog on github. I tried to add comments to posts through Facebook, following this link: , I solved it by adding url in my config.yml.

To fix this issue What looks like is happening here is that your specific Jekyll theme doesn't put a background behind sudo visudo or /etc/visudo. Since the font is changing to a monospaced font in your Jekyll example picture, it is properly parsing the markdown, it's just that the theme isn't set to display a background behind it.

To fix this issue The preview text from each blog posts are from {{ post.excerpt }} in index.html[1]. It looks like the White Paper jekyll theme is using the default behavior of Post excerpts[2].
