it should still fix some issue The require is working fine, otherwise you'd be faced with a fatal error for that, before it could reach the undefined function fatal error. Are you referencing the class in the function call?

it helps some times Your constructor's signature has parameter with Class type, not an Object.
seems to work fine You should be able to debug this sort of problem by viewing the debug logs. They may be deactivated in your installation. You can try adding these two lines to the top of the PHP file to enable them. It should help you identify the problem.
