Logical error in while statement when used with or operator

Logical error in while statement when used with or operator

To fix this issue You'll probably need to re-ask the user if they don't give a valid input. Maybe something like this:
code :
name = input("Title: ").lower()
author = input("Author: ").lower()
valid = False
while not valid:
    has_read = input("Mark as Read (y/n): ").lower()
    if had_read in ['n', 'y']:
        valid = True
        if has_read == 'y':
            read = True
        else:
            read = False
        add_book(name, author, read)

it fixes the issue Your second statement is not going to return any results. A record cannot have option=ans and option=quest at the same time.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further If you put the test !(array[i][1] == 0 && array[i][2] == 'foo') in the loop control expression, then when that fails, the loop stops. It doesn't skip that iteration and continue to the next one any more than it would if i < array.length were false. It just stops.
If you want it to continue to the next iteration, you need to put the test in the loop body and use continue.

around this issue , better to use in this way:
code :
while True:
    vari1=input("please enter your choice.")
    if vari1.lower() not in ['o','p']:
        print("please enter a appropriate choice")
    else:
        # do your stuff
        break
>>> 1 in [1,2,3,4,5]
True
>>> 1 not in [1,2,3,4,5]
False
>>> 1 in [2,3,4,5]
False
>>> 1 not in [2,3,4,5]
True

wish of those help Please try this:
According to me, the array value is creating issue, so take this array value in another variable, just like this:
code :
$cat_val = $sCategory['sub_category_name'];
if (($cat_val == $subCat) && ($action == "edit")) {
    //Do stuff here
}

may help you . This: if(i == 20 || 30) is equivalent to if((i == 20) || 30) and 30 is always true.
If you really want to do what I think you want to do, you should have written:
code :
if(i == 20 || i == 30)
