Javascript to "fix" all hrefs of class with regex

Javascript to "fix" all hrefs of class with regex

To fix this issue Say I have a bunch of links on a page like: , It will work if you use getAttribute on the href property.
code :
const e = document.getElementsByClassName("eg-vimeo1-element-0")

for (var i = 0; i < e.length; i++) {
  const href = e[i].getAttribute('href');
  e[i].href = href.replace("http://", "https://vimeo.com/video/");
}
<a class="eg-vimeo1-element-0 eg-post-14" href="http://255972693">link</a>

will help you No, you don't need the ID of the element. jQuery applies inline styles.
Anyway, it would probably be easier if you had a second rule for .socButton in your CSS, i.e. .socButton.hover, which would have correct background position for hover state. In jQuery you would only have to toggle the hover class with $(this).toggleClass('hover').
code :
$(".socButton").hover(function() {
    var pos = $(this).css("background-position");

    var splitPos = pos.split("px");

    splitPos[0] = parseInt(splitPos[0]);
    splitPos[0] += 24.0;

    newPos = splitPos.join("px");

    alert(newPos);
    $(this).css({"background-position": newPos});

}, function(){

});

will be helpful for those in need It seems you got your definition of /m wrong. The only thing this flag does is to change what ^ and $ matches, so that they also match at the beginning and end of line respectively. It does not affect anything else. If you don't want to match line breaks you should do as you suggested and use [^#\n\r].

seems to work fine you can use BeautifulSoup parsing methods instead of complicated regexp for this:
code :
# this is the url you want to add at the beginning
PREFIX = 'www.example.com'

# the template of your desired output
template = '{prefix}{url} | {title}'.format

# the resulting list, please note that "html" variable is
# the given source code.
links = [template(prefix=PREFIX, url=e.get('href'), title=e.get('title'))
         for e in html.find_all('a', href=True)]
$ python get_all_a.py
www.example.com/loads/data/usersindex.cfm?event=overview.subprocess&ApplNo=117511 | Click to view GRAPES (GREEN GRAPES ; AUS) | POQ  #117511 | BOX;67 PZ | PRESENTATION | FRUIT COMPANY 11
www.example.com/loads/data/usersindex.cfm?event=overview.subprocess&ApplNo=117620 | Click to view GRAPES (GREEN GRAPES ; AUS) | POQ  #117620 | BOX;67 PZ | PRESENTATION | FRUIT COMPANY 12
html = BeautifulSoup(open('file.htm'), 'html.parser')

PREFIX = 'www.example.com'

template = '{prefix}{url} | {title}'.format

# inside this list comprehension is your for loop implied
links = [template(prefix=PREFIX, url=e.get('href'), title=e.get('title'))
         for e in html.find_all('a', href=True)]

Hope that helps It's a bad idea to use regexes to filter out properties of a JSON string.
Parse it into an object (/array), then use filter, instead.

it fixes the issue Using JavaScript in the browser, you can just look up all elements and then filter them based on the href attribute
code :
let allLinks = document.querySelectorAll('link');

let filteredLinks = Array.from(allLinks)
  .filter(el => el.getAttribute("href").startsWith("../") == false);

console.log(filteredLinks);
<script type="text/javascript" src="/js/IP_Master_PT_RTL.master.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../global.design-editor.com/v8/main.min1024.css?v=_STAGING-Publisher_20180327.1" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../fonts.googleapis.com/earlyaccess/alefhebrew.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ad-systems368c.css?v=4701716615" />
