it fixes the issue As mentioned by @greg-449, you will have to add all the required jars as part of classpath. Something like this :
code :
  <fileset dir="lib">
    <include name="**/*.jar"/>

To fix this issue As Benjamin said, you are probably missing a dependency declaration. Note that your use of @jar disables transitive dependency resolution. @jar means " I want just this Jar, not any of the dependencies declared in its POM".
The preferred way to declare the local Maven repo is repositories { mavenLocal() }. Unless you have some other build installing into the local Maven repository and this build pulling from it, it is neither recommended nor necessary to declare mavenLocal() though. Gradle is smart enough to automatically steal Jars from the local Maven repo (to avoid downloading them) if their checksum matches.

I hope this helps you . I have my ant build.xml file like this: , You're closing the tag on the same line, it should be:
code :
<javac srcdir="${src}" destdir="${dest}">
        <classpath refid="classpath"/>

This might help you You can configure ant taskdef at execution phase, when the included project is already built. e.g.
code :
task run {
    dependsOn gradle.includedBuild('../foo').task(':jar')
    doFirst {
        ant.taskdef(name: 'foo',
            classname: 'mypackage.Foo',
            classpath: configurations.foo.asPath)

        // call your ant target as usual

it should still fix some issue Problems of popular approaches
Most of the answers you'll find around the internet will suggest you to either install the dependency to your local repository or specify a "system" scope in the pom and distribute the dependency with the source of your project. But both of these solutions are actually flawed.
