fixed the issue. Will look into that further Here's an example dataframe.
code :
 mapply(":", x, y)

around this issue I have a problem to create a dataset column variable from string vector. I watched many tutorials and this forum question without answer. This is a dummy code , I have resolved this issue by this way :
code :
library(pROC)
data(aSAH)
vector_names = c('wfns','age')
Variables_vector_index = c()
for (i in 1:length(vector_names)){
  Variables_vector_index = c(Variables_vector_index,grep(vector_names[i], colnames(aSAH)))
}

aSAH[Variables_vector_index[1]]

wish helps you As mentioned, simply run a left join merge keeping all rows of df_B (i.e., all.x=TRUE) to map over the one needed column from df_A. And since you have many columns, select only the needed columns during the merge:
code :
final_df <- merge(dfB[c("Material_Code", "Mon_Yr", "Material_Description")],
                  dfA[c("Material_Code", "Mon_Yr", "Used %")],
                  by=c("Material_Code", "Mon_Yr"), all.x=TRUE)

# RE-ORDER COLUMNS
final_df <- final_df[c("Material_Code", "Material_Description", "Used %", "Mon_Yr")]

I hope this helps . I have a name vector called Weight which has for each name an associated number. For example: , You can simply do df$weight <- Weight[df$Animals].

I think the issue was by ths following , SAS keeps or drops variables with the conveniently named keywords 'keep' and 'drop'. PROC SQL can help you generate a list if you don't already have it in text format.
How do you add 2 variables that are numbers to make one variable?

Hope that helps That error is happening because one of those variables is an integer and the other an string. If you want to add them as a integer you have to convert the string one to int with .to_i
