I hope this helps . I'm currently learning to use Android Studios, and I'm quite stuck. The exercise I'm doing is to create a calculator, with the buttons +,-,/. I am done with the calculator, and I've gotten it to work, except for one instance. , Change all of
code :
Integer.parseInt()
Double.parseDouble()
java.lang.NumberFormatException

should help you out ^[-+]?[0-9]*\.?[0-9]+$
^ - start of string [-+]? - 0 or 1 sign indicator [0-9]* - 0 or more integers \. - the character . (. is used in regex to mean "any character") [0-9]+ - 1 or more integers $ - the end of the string

hop of those help? I have a templated class that can only be instantiated for scalar types (integers, floats, etc.) and I want a member typedef to always be the signed variant of the type. That is: , A simple template alias will do:
code :
#include <type_traits>

template<typename T>
struct identity { using type = T; };

template<typename T>
using try_make_signed =
    typename std::conditional<
        std::is_integral<T>::value,
        std::make_signed<T>,
        identity<T>
        >::type;
int main()
{
    static_assert(::is_same<
        try_make_signed<unsigned int>::type, int
        >::value, "!");

    static_assert(std::is_same<
        try_make_signed<double>::type, double
        >::value, "!");
}

will help you If you want to be completely cross-platform and standards-compliant, then the frexp/ldexp solution is the best way to go. (Although you might need to consider the highly theoretical case where either the source or the target hardware uses decimal floating point.)
Suppose that one or the other machine did not have a 32-bit floating point representation. Then there is no datatype on that machine bit-compatible with a 32-bit floating pointer number, regardless of endianness. So there is then no standard way of converting the non-32-bit float to a transmittable 32-bit representation, or to convert the transmitted 32-bit representation to a native non-32-bit floating point number.

like below fixes the issue You can use an arbitrary precision Decimal like type to do the calculations. Like this one: https://github.com/MikeMcl/decimal.js

This might help you You are missing #include so the compiler thinks fmod() is a function returning int, or it is complaining that it knows about fmod() but you've not declared it properly, or thereabouts.
You would do better to include the exact compiler error message (unless there's a very long path for the file name, in which case truncating the file name would be a courtesy).
