I hope this helps . If the modules were installed under /usr/local, then it's likely the ipython script was installed in the same way. So try running:
code :
$ /usr/local/bin/ipython

this one helps. Searching the web for "bash: ipython: command not found" turns up several hits (including this SO question), but they're not particularly helpful. From the sound of it, you have IPython, the Python package installed, but ipython—the wrapper/launcher for it—is missing for whatever reason. To check whether this is the case, try running:
code :
% python -m IPython
Python 2.7.9 (default, Feb 10 2015, 03:28:08)

will help you You need to create and activate a conda environment before you can use conda to install and use software. The conda documentation provides a step-by-step, but basically, the following shell commands are required:
code :
# create environment
conda create --name myenv

# create an environment and install the ipython package into it
conda create --name myenv ipython
conda activate myenv
conda info --envs
