To fix the issue you can do You need to download latest geckodriver from here and Looking at the examples at this
It seems like you need to do is set marionette to true in the desiered capabilities as below :-
code :
$capabilities->setCapability('marionette', true);
$host = 'http://localhost:4444/wd/hub';
$capabilities = DesiredCapabilities::firefox();
$capabilities->setCapability('marionette', true);
$driver = RemoteWebDriver::create($host, $capabilities, 5000);

fixed the issue. Will look into that further You have 32 replicas in your definition. The API call which makes the app to write the file locally hits one pod (replica), and the call that checks for its existence hits a different one. It is expected that the file is not there.
If you scale the number of replicas to 1, it will work. You can try for testing purposes, but this probably isn't what you want.

hope this fix your issue Docker containers don't run with the same IP address, so 127.0.0.1 within m1 only resolves to the m1 container.

Hope this helps I think that when you spin your apps they both run on port 5000 but in different containers so try changing your app1.py to :
code :
@app.route('/get_message')
def get_message():
    message = requests.get('http://web2:5000/return_message')
    return message.text

if __name__ == '__main__':
    app.run(host='0.0.0.0')
version: "3.7"
services:
  web1:
    build: ./web1
    container_name: web1
    ports:
      - "5000:5000"
  web2:
    build: ./web2
    container_name: web2
    ports:
      - "5001:5000"

will help you It takes me a lot of time to figure out. In your docker-compose.yml, the MONGO_URI shouldn't wrap in double quotes, it should be mongodb://mongo:27017/ instead of "mongodb://mongo:27017". MONGO_URI=mongodb://mongo:27017/ instead of MONGO_URI="mongodb://mongo:27017/"
