simplexml_load_file won't fetch data with an Array

simplexml_load_file won't fetch data with an Array

seems to work fine As your file may contain other odd characters (including \r, spaces etc.), it would be better to ensure you clean up the URL with trim()...
code :
$uri .= trim($url);

it fixes the issue simplexml_load_file returns an object, not an array. So you can't just print it with print_r. You need to do more work to navigate through the SimpleXMLElement.
PDO if fetch() then print_r($smt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_OBJ)) wont show any result

PDO if fetch() then print_r($smt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_OBJ)) wont show any result

I hope this helps . I have a login database with user and password and a html file with input type for username and password.. , You're fetching multiple times:
code :
print_r($smt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_OBJ));  //testing if $smt will return results..yes it returned
if($smt->fetch()) {
    print_r($smt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_OBJ)); //doesn't return ??this is my question... all other arguments inside this if loop is not executed..
    while($row = $smt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_OBJ)) {
$results = $smt->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_OBJ);
if (count($results)) {
    foreach ($results as $row) {
        print_r($row);
        if($row->password == $this->password) {

            header("Location: admin.php");
        }
        else {
            echo '<div class="alert alert-error alert-block"><button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="alert">&times;</button><h4>Error!</h4>username and password do not match!</div>';
        }
    }
}
else {
    echo '<div class="alert alert-error alert-block"><button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="alert">&times;</button><h4>Error!</h4>Username does not exist!</div>';
}

seems to work fine The solution for this problem is, that the API serves a JSON encoded string instead of an XML string. So the delivered content can not be parsed with SimpleXML. Try to get it with the following example
code :
$content = file_get_contents($apiLink);
$data = json_decode($content);

will help you Although it would be easier to check with the XML, you will probably find the correct notation is...
code :
echo (string)$result2[0]->attributes()->path;
echo (string)$result2[0]['path'];
