Any of those help Now run through the x-ticks and then disable few of them based on countries list.
code :
import numpy as np
import pandas as pd

#Overall Country list
Countries=['United States','Mexico','Japan','China','Korea,Rep.','Ireland','France','Italy','Czech Republic',
 'Slovak Republic',
 'New Zealand',

#Countries to highlight
Desired=['United States','Mexico','Japan','China','Korea,Rep.','Ireland','France','Italy']

df = pd.DataFrame({'Countries': Countries,'Value': Value,})

ax_1 = df['Value'].plot(kind='bar', title ="graph", figsize=(10, 6), fontsize=12)
ax_1.set_xlabel("Country Name", fontsize=12)

for ticks in ax_1.xaxis.get_major_ticks():
    if ticks.label1.get_text() not in countries:

hoverable donut chart does not lose highlights when mouse leaves chart

help you fix your problem Well, sadly the pie plugin does not expose any methods that let you unhighlight. In general, if the plugin was written more sanely, you could call plot.unhighlight() on mouseleave of your placeholder div... But this is not a perfect world, so instead you have to do something nasty like this:
code :
$("#interactive").mouseleave(function() {
    var e = jQuery.Event('mousemove');
    e.pageX = 1;
    e.pageY = 1;
    $('#interactive canvas:first').trigger(e);

Matplotlib pie-chart: How to replace auto-labelled relative values by absolute values

By : Max
Date : March 29 2020, 07:55 AM
To fix this issue I'm creating a pie-chart according to the matplotlib-demo: https://matplotlib.org/1.2.1/examples/pylab_examples/pie_demo.html , help(pie) says:
code :
  *autopct*: [ *None* | format string | format function ]
    If not *None*, is a string or function used to label the
    wedges with their numeric value. The label will be placed inside
    the wedge. If it is a format string, the label will be ``fmt%pct``.
    If it is a function, it will be called.
figure(1, figsize=(6,6))
ax = axes([0.1, 0.1, 0.8, 0.8])
labels = 'Frogs', 'Hogs', 'Dogs', 'Logs'
fracs = [15, 30, 45, 10]
total = sum(fracs)
explode=(0, 0.05, 0, 0)
pie(fracs, explode=explode, labels=labels,
    autopct=lambda(p): '{:.0f}'.format(p * total / 100),
    shadow=True, startangle=90)

Matplotlib Xticks Values in Bar Chart

I wish this help you Here is an example how to solve your problem. As you don't provide the data, I first generate some random data in the example below and then visualise it as a bar plot like you requested:
code :
from matplotlib import pyplot as plt
import numpy as np

##generating some data
years = [1936, 1945]+[i for i in range(1947,1997)]
data1 = np.random.rand(len(years))
data2 = np.random.rand(len(years))

diabete = {key: val for key,val in zip(years, data1)}
not_diabete = {key: val for key,val in zip(years, data2)}

##the actual graph:
fig, ax = plt.subplots(figsize = (10,4))

idx = np.asarray([i for i in range(len(years))])

width = 0.2

ax.bar(idx, [val for key,val in sorted(diabete.items())], width=width)
ax.bar(idx+width, [val for key,val in sorted(not_diabete.items())], width=width)

ax.set_xticklabels(years, rotation=65)
ax.legend(['Diabete', 'Non-Diabete'])
ax.set_ylabel('# of patients')

Add label values to bar chart and line chart in matplotlib

like below fixes the issue Here is a modified function that will achieve the required task. The trick is to extract the x and y values based on the type of the chart you have. For a line chart, you can use ax.lines[0] and then get_xdata and get_ydata
code :
def add_value_labels(ax, typ, spacing=5):
    space = spacing
    va = 'bottom'

    if typ == 'bar':
        for i in ax.patches:
            y_value = i.get_height()
            x_value = i.get_x() + i.get_width() / 2

            label = "{:.0f}".format(y_value)
            ax.annotate(label,(x_value, y_value), xytext=(0, space),
                    textcoords="offset points", ha='center', va=va)
    if typ == 'line':
        line = ax.lines[0]
        for x_value, y_value in zip(line.get_xdata(), line.get_ydata()):
            label = "{:.2f}".format(y_value)
            ax.annotate(label,(x_value, y_value), xytext=(0, space),
                textcoords="offset points", ha='center', va=va)

add_value_labels(ax, typ='bar')
add_value_labels(ax2, typ='line')

Matplotlib does not show chart values

I hope this helps . Can you please share the content of stock.txt file. The backend which you have printed how it is related to plot. Anyways I think below things may help you:
The original code from syntax:
code :
def animate(i):
    graph_data = open('example.txt','r').read()
    lines = graph_data.split('\n')
    xs = []
    ys = []
    for line in lines:
        if len(line) > 1:
            x, y = line.split(',')
    ax1.plot(xs, ys)
