"beginning with npm@6, a new command, npm audit, recursively analyzes your dependency trees to identify specifically what’s insecure, recommend a replacement, or fix it automatically with npm audit fix."
code :

wish of those help In Node.js HTTP module's documentation: http://nodejs.org/api/http.html#http_http_request_options_callback
You can either call http.get('http://eternagame.wikia.com/wiki/EteRNA_Dictionary', callback), the URL is then parsed with url.parse(); or call http.get(options, callback), where options is
code :
{
  host: 'eternagame.wikia.com',
  port: 8080,
  path: '/wiki/EteRNA_Dictionary'
}

around this issue I'm trying to follow the badgekit tutorial here https://github.com/mozilla/badgekit-api/wiki/Using-BadgeKit-API#references , The problem is how you're specifying the host:
code :
host: 'http://192.168.1.59:8080'
hostname: '192.168.1.59`,
port: 8080

I wish did fix the issue. To prevent your app from stopping when external server's internet connection is down, you can catch getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND error and return error message to your end client. Please check this SO on how to catch getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND error.
In your case, the code would be:
code :
var http = require('http');
// (...)
var req = http.request(options, response => {
   /* ... */
});
req.on('error', function (err) {
    // Check error type and console.log corresponding message.
});
req.write(data);
req.end();

I hope this helps . For Requests module, you can set the proxy using the proxy options. Try something like this,
code :
request.get({
      proxy: "proxy",
      url : connUrl,//This is set to be https://example.net
    },function (error, response, body) {
       //Print response code
        console.log(body);
        console.log(error);
});
