I wish this helpful for you Look carefully at the checkForUpdatesInBackground:
code :
/*!
 Checks for updates, but does not display any UI unless an update is found.

 This is meant for programmatically initating a check for updates. That is,
 it will display no UI unless it actually finds an update, in which case it
 proceeds as usual.

 If automatic downloading of updates it turned on and allowed, however,
 this will invoke that behavior, and if an update is found, it will be downloaded
 in the background silently and will be prepped for installation.

 This will not find updates that the user has opted into skipping.
 */
- (void)checkForUpdatesInBackground;
/*!
 Explicitly checks for updates and displays a progress dialog while doing so.

 This method is meant for a main menu item.
 Connect any menu item to this action in Interface Builder,
 and Sparkle will check for updates and report back its findings verbosely
 when it is invoked.

 This will find updates that the user has opted into skipping.
 */
 - (IBAction)checkForUpdates:(id)sender;

will help you It would have probably helped if you had given some example output that covers most of your cases. Judging from your comments and after rereading a couple of times though, I think this is what you're looking for:
code :
SELECT
    <column list>
FROM
    Messages M
INNER JOIN Projects P ON
    P.project_id = M.message_project_id AND
    P.project_status IN ('open', 'started') AND
    P.project_user_id = 2
WHERE
    M.message_to_user_id = 2 AND
    NOT EXISTS (
        SELECT *
        FROM Messages M2
        WHERE
            M2.message_from_user_id = 2 AND
            M2.message_project_id = M.message_project_id AND
            M2.message_to_user_id = M.message_from_user_id AND
            M2.message_time >= M.message_time
    )

I hope this helps . I was getting the exact same warnings on updating to Xcode v8.0. However, you do not need to uninstall Xcode. Rather, you need to set the path of the active developer directory:
code :
sudo xcode-select -s /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools

dependencyOverrides += "com.fasterxml.jackson.core" % "jackson-databind" % "2.6.5" % "test"
dependencyOverrides += "com.fasterxml.jackson.module" % "jackson-module-scala_2.11" % "2.6.5" % "test"

will help you Basically you are not suppling DateFormat without which String cannot be converted to date.
Use @DateTimeFormat("yyyy-MM-dd") like :
code :
@GetMapping("/findWithRange")
public ResponseEntity<List<Appointment>> findAllWithCreationRange(@RequestParam("start") @DateTimeFormat("yyyy-MM-dd") Date start, @RequestParam("end") @DateTimeFormat("yyyy-MM-dd") Date end) {

    List<Appointment> appointments = service.findAllWithCreationRange(start, end);

    if (Objects.isNull(appointments)) {
        ResponseEntity.badRequest().build();
    }

    return ResponseEntity.ok(appointments);
}
