Method execution with the help of callback in javascript

To fix this issue I know 2 will be console.logged first and then 1. Is there any way, maybe with callbacks, I can show 1 first and then 2? , Put second()'s call in the setTimeout:
code :
function first(){
  // Simulate a code delay
  setTimeout( function(){
  }, 500 );
function second(){

Javascript callback functions execution

To fix the issue you can do The first argument of the call method is used to set the this keyword (the function context) explicitly, inside the invoked function, e.g.:
code :
function test(data, aFunc) {
   var newData = data + " Shawn";

test("hello", function () {
   alert(this); // hello Shawn
function test(data, aFunc) {
   var newData = data + " Shawn";

   aFunc(newData); // or aFunc.call(null, newData);

test("hello", function (data) {

Pause execution of a method until callback is finished

I wish this help you Either put DO SOME OTHER STUFF into callback, or declare a semaphore, and call semaphore.release in the callback and call semaphore.aquire where you want to wait. Remove synchronized(this) and this.wait.

nodejs: force callback execution if method hangs

Does that help i have a situation where my asynchronus nodejs method from a third party library is taking too long. i want to set a timeout limit on this call and if it does not return within that timeout, i want a callback to happen with default(empty) values. , You can make your own timeout like this:
code :
wrapperfunc(obj, timeout, data, callback) {
   var done = false;
   var timer = setTimeout(function() {
       done = true;
       // callback with both values null to signify a timeout
       callback(null, null);
   }, timeout);
   obj.thirdpartylib.getData(input, function(err, data) {
       if (!done) {
           done = true;
           callback(err, data);

Javascript (ES6) asynchronous callback execution

will be helpful for those in need They are run sequentially, even though they may be queued up in an asynchronous manner.
Events are triggered in a multi-threaded area of the browser called Web APIs. Following an event (e.g. XHR request) being triggered asynchronously, an event loop synchronously selects the event's callback onto JavaScript’s single-threaded call stack to be executed.

JavaScript: Promise callback execution

hop of those help? The promise executor function is the function you pass to new Promise. It is executed synchronously so it can start whatever asynchronous process the promise represents.
The callbacks you attach with then, catch, and finally are always called asynchronously, whether the promise is already settled or not.
code :
let myPromise = new Promise((resolve, reject) => {
    console.log("In the executor function");
    resolve("Resolved from the promise");
myPromise.then(result => {
    console.log("In the fulfillment handler: " + result);

console.log("After resolving the promise");
In the executor function
After resolving the promise
In the fulfillment handler: Resolved from the promise
