I hope this helps you . I have a function which creates a new record in a model called "Onboarding". I want to then call this record via a "hasOne" relationship in the user model by doing auth()->user()->onboarding however this is returning null. Below is a snippet of my function where this is happening: , After a bit more research, I found this can be resolved by doing

Replacing existing record with a newly created but unsaved record

Any of those help If I have record A which has been saved in the database, then I want to replace it with a newly created record B which has not been saved. So B can then be saved in the database but with the id of from A (and A is replaced). Is this possible in Rails Active Record? , You can do something like this:
code :
a = A.find(1)
b = B.new

# Modify b

a.update_attributes(b.attributes.delete_if{ |k,v| %w(id created_at updated_at).include?(k) })

I wish this helpful for you Turns out there is a selector at the top which, by default, is set to show Android. If you flick the toggle down to 'Packages' you can see your own packages.

React/Redux: Create record in database and access newly created record

Any of those help With the help of a friend, the solution I came up with was to create a new action and put the additional code inside the .then of the post that creates the new person. This code can get the newly created ID from the response of the createPerson post.
code :
import axios from 'axios';
import cookie from 'react-cookie';

import config from '../config.js';

const fgtoken = cookie.load('fg-access-token');

var axiosConfig = {
  headers: {'x-access-token': fgtoken}

export function newPerson() {

  const body = { object: {} };
  var newChild;

  // create a new blank person record for a child
  return (dispatch) => {
    dispatch({type: "CREATE_PERSON"});
    axios.post(config.api_url + '/api/v2/person/create', body, axiosConfig)
      .then((response) => {
        newChild = response.data;
        dispatch({type: "CREATE_PERSON_FULFILLED", payload: response.data})

        /******* NEW CODE HERE ***********/
        const birthBody = {
          object: {
            person_id: newChild._id,
            eventType: 'Birth',

        // create a blank birth record for the newly created person because we don't trust people without a birthdate.
        dispatch({type: "CREATE_EVENT"});
        axios.post(config.api_url + '/api/v2/event/create', birthBody, axiosConfig)
          .then((response) => {
            dispatch({type: "CREATE_EVENT_FULFILLED", payload: response.data})
          .catch((err) => {
            dispatch({type: "CREATE_EVENT_REJECTED", payload: err})
      .catch((err) => {
      dispatch({type: "CREATE_PERSON_REJECTED", payload: err})

Entity Framework: Is it possible to insert the id of a newly created record into another record while running Seed metho

I wish did fix the issue. If you want to use the same Address entity to multiple Persons, why don't you create the Address first, then use it as many times as you want ?
code :
var myAwesomeAddress = new WestCobb.Data.Address()
    StreetAddress = "5076 Lake Charles Court",
    City = "Chicago",
    State = "Illinois",
    ZipCode = 60208

// You should have a DbSet of your Addresses right ?
context.Addresses.AddOrUpdate(x => x.Id, // Use any discriminator

context.Students.AddOrUpdate(x => x.SID,
    new WestCobb.Data.Student
        SID = "99-B50-404324175",
        EnrollmentDate = Convert.ToDateTime("01-30-2017"),
        Active = true,
        Person = new WestCobb.Data.Person
            FirstName = "Brian",
            LastName = "Folks",
            AddressId = 4,
            SSN = 404324175,
            Addresss = myAwesomeAddress
    new WestCobb.Data.Student
        SID = "99-A50-404527896",
        EnrollmentDate = Convert.ToDateTime("01-30-2017"),
        Active = true,
        Person = new WestCobb.Data.Person
            FirstName = "Arthur",
            LastName = "Clue",
            SSN = 404527896,
            Address = myAwesomeAddress // here

will help you You could use LAST_INSERT_ID, but I don't think this would be considered "one query":
code :
INSERT INTO tablename (parent_id) VALUES
INSERT INTO tablename (parent_id) VALUES
