To fix this issue You are already using BeautifulSoup you said, why not use that to extract your attributes?
code :
>>> matches = [x['title'] for x in soup.find_all('input')]
>>> from bs4 import BeautifulSoup
>>> html = '''<input id="foo" title="something">
<input id="foo" title="something else">
<input id="foo" title="something again">'''
>>> soup = BeautifulSoup(html)
>>> matches = [x['title'] for x in soup.find_all('input')]
>>> matches
['something', 'something else', 'something again']
>>> for tag in soup.find_all('input'):
...     print tag['title']

hope this fix your issue I have a .txt file with the following contents: , You don't need a regular expression for that.
code :
norway  sweden
bhargama  bhargama
forbisganj  forbesganj
canada  usa
ankara  turkey
with open('myfile.txt') as f:
    my_dictionary = dict(line.split() for line in f)
>>> my_dictionary['norway']

it fixes the issue Here, I'm making a (risky) assumption that there will always be the substring Error Code in your texts. So I modified your regex to '^\[(\d+),([0-9:]+)\]\s+(.+)\s+(Error\sCode:.+)$'. Running this in the shell:
code :
>>> import re
>>> text = '[1,12:12] call basic_while1() Error Code: 1046. No database selected'
('1', '12:12', 'call basic_while1() Error Code: 1046. No database selected')
>>> re.match('^\[(\d+),([0-9:]+)\]\s+(.+)\s+(Error\sCode:.+)$', text)
<re.Match object; span=(0, 68), match='[1,12:12] call basic_while1() Error Code: 1046. N>
>>> _.groups()
('1', '12:12', 'call basic_while1()', 'Error Code: 1046. No database selected')
>>> list(_)
['1', '12:12', 'call basic_while1()', 'Error Code: 1046. No database selected']
matches = re.match('^\[(\d+),([0-9:]+)\]\s+(.+)\s+(Error\sCode:.+)$', text)
if matches is not None: # if there is no match, re.match returns None
print([matches.groups()[-1]]) # output => ['Error Code: 1046. No database selected']

Can't make regex work with Python

I wish this helpful for you Did you use re.findall? By default, if there's at least one capture group in the pattern, re.findall will return only the captured parts of the expression.
You can avoid this by removing every capture group, causing re.findall to return the entire match:
